Pat Kelly grew up in Ohio and began fishing at a very young age. At the age of 9, he had his first fly rod and a fly tying vise at his desk. He has always been enamored with all things fishing. Growing up on rivers and streams all across Ohio exposed him to many different watersheds and the subtle qualities that make each one unique. He has been blessed to have fished all over the world in both fresh and saltwater, pursuing not only wild fish but the wild places they call home. This experience has given him a well-rounded and humble perspective on his approach to angling.

Having spent nearly 20 years honing his craft as a guide and fishing professional, he approaches every single day with a willingness to learn, both from the river itself and the anglers in his boat. He guides all over Ohio on more than a dozen different river systems, targeting Smallmouth Bass, Carp, Musky, and Pike, and is the longest-standing fly fishing guide for Musky and Pike in the state. He works closely with some of the industry's top brands, including Scott Fly Rods, Ross Reels, Scientific Anglers, Renzetti Vises. Some of his favorite trips on the water are spent targeting Smallmouth Bass and Carp!

At heart, Pat loves to teach. Whether you're interested in a fly or conventional fishing trip, spending time on the water with him will cut years off your learning curve all in a fun, easygoing atmosphere.

Katie Johnstone grew up in Ohio and spent much of her childhood and young adult life on the water. On the water meant behind a boat, spending hours wakeboarding and enjoying the lake lifestyle. It wasn't until 2018 that her time on the water took on a new meaning and became fishing-focused. On a trip to Alaska, Katie picked up a fly rod for the first time and fished the Kenai River. She loved the feeling of standing in the river, casting, and feeling connected to the water and her surroundings. When she got home to Ohio, she bought her first fly rod and a life long passion was born.

In 2019, Katie co-founded Ohio Women on the Fly (OWOTF), a non-profit dedicated to getting more women involved in fly fishing and inspiring them to get on the water. She immersed herself in the local fly fishing community, serving a couple of years on the TU board and attended local fly fishing club meetings. In the summer of 2020, Katie left her corporate job to work at a local fly shop, where she built meaningful relationships and talked fly fishing all day, every day. Her days off were spent on the water, guiding or chasing Smallmouth Bass and Carp. After nearly six years there, Katie has stepped away from the fly shop and joined Warmwater Anglers to share her passion for fly fishing, teaching, and supporting the local community. 

Katie guides for Smallmouth, Carp, and Rainbow Trout. She also teaches women's casting lessons, clinics, and fly tying classes.
